How to visit without overpaying

WaterWorld sits about 2km outside Ayia Napa on the Ayia Thekla road in Macronissos, near the new marina — far enough that you’ll want the 102 bus from Nissi Avenue (roughly 15 minutes, about €2 a single) rather than the 25-minute walk in full sun. Drive and there’s parking on site.

Buy your ticket online before you go. The online rate is a few euros under the gate — around €47 (about £40) for adults aged 13 and over and €28 (about £24) for children aged 3 to 12 (under-3s free), versus €50 and €30 at the booth. Online tickets are valid on any day of the 2026 season, so there’s no need to commit to a date; you also skip the ticket booth and walk straight to the turnstiles. Every ticket also includes a free second-day visit you can use on any day in April, May, June, September or October, or on a Sunday during the summer Wave Fest — ask at Customer Services on your first visit. Worth knowing if you’re staying nearby and might come back.

The day itself, and is it worth it?

The park is themed top to bottom on Greek mythology — over 30 rides with names like Aphrodite’s Falls, the Fall of Icarus and the Chariot Chase, plus Poseidon’s wave pool and the Lazy River Odyssey for the slower-paced. It opens daily from April through October, 10:00 to 17:00 in the shoulder months and to 18:00 from June to August.

Treat it as a full day out, not a quick dip. Most families spend five to seven hours here and the per-head price only makes sense if you do — turn up for a couple of hours and you’ve paid beach-club money for a fraction of the park. For a family or a big group it’s a genuinely good day, and the theming lifts it above a generic flume park. But if it’s just two adults wanting a swim, Ayia Napa’s Nissi and Makronissos beaches are free and ten minutes away — save WaterWorld for the day the kids or the group want the slides.
